Information trouvée : décès 2002Born in the bilingual city of Biel in 1913, Wyss was a teacher of German
and French. She spent World War II in Sweden, where she translated works fromSwedish,
Norwegian and Danish for a religious publishing house. From 1945 until her retirement
in 1979, Wyss worked as a journalist. She was the first woman to present a show on
Swiss television and created the first program aimed specifically at women. Later
she founded a magazine for the Zurich daily Tages-Anzeiger. Wyss started writing books
following her retirement from a career in journalism. She published 14 books, most
on Swiss political and social themes, but also including a novel, a book of poems
and a book of short stories.
