Nobel Prize for chemistry for his pioneering work in organic chemistry, died Sunday
of a heart attack at a Lafayette hospital. He was 92. Brown was born Herbert Brovarnik
in London, England, on May 22, 1912. He was later an assistant professor at Wayne
State University before moving to Purdue as professor in 1947.
