Donnus Nicolaus Germanus, moine Bénédictin dirigea la production manuscrite de 32 cartes du monde destinées à illustrer une édition de cosmographie qui fut imprimée par Lienhart Holle en Allemagne en 1482. Il est né vers 1420, mort vers 1490. Allemand cartographe qui a écrit "Cosmographia" et a créé deux globes représentant la terre et le ciel en 1477
