Note publique d'information :

Note publique d'information :
A micromechanical approach is used to model the damaged behavior of polycrystals. The damage is introduced at the mesoscale (dg) (granular level) through the framework of the CDM for increasing the model applicability. The driving force of this variable depends on the elastic and inelastic granular energies. This variable can globally describe the micro-crack and/or micro-cavity. A new strategy is exploited to describe the damaged behavior under various loading conditions. The new developed aspects are: (1) coupling the damage (dg) and elasticity at the mesoscale leading to non-linear elasticity. So, the homogenization of the elastic strain is calculated using a new corrective term to respect the consistency condition; (2) proposing a new criterion of mesodamage initiation depending on the accumulated granular plastic strain and on the applied loading path; (3) developing a new criterion related to macroscopic damage initiation via the probabilistic approach of Weibull. Finally, this gives a mixed approach (micromechanical-probabilistic). The quantitative study of this model displays it’s powerful in reproducing the damage in plastic fatigue for the aluminium 2024
